      Interview

      I met with a recruiter for a phone screen interview and had a very positive experience. Although the company decided to go in a different direction with the role, I still received a phone call explaining why I would no longer be considered as a candidate at this time. I am impressed with the professionalism, consideration and overall kindness of the recruiter. Highly recommend looking at opportunities at Samsara.

      I applied through other source. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Samsara in Aug 2022

      Now I understand why 50% found the interview process negative and 14% neutral. The recruiter was beyond condescending. She made it clear she had other interviews to get to. She enjoyed hearing herself talk so much she did not give me an opportunity to share my skills and knowledge. Then when I shared that the comp package she presented was low by industry standards, acted insulted. If Samsara hopes to attract top talent, maybe start with the recruiters.

      The recruiter asked about the existing BoB, the current company, and why I was looking to leave. I had to speed talk since she kept pointing out that she had other interviews to make after she spent 22 minutes talking on a 30 minute call.
