I had many rounds of interviews with Slalom. I was contacted by a recruiter over linkedin.
These are the interviews I had:
1) screen call
2) behavioral
3) technical
4) culture fit
I was told that I had made it to the final round "culture fit" interview.
That culture fit interview went really well and I could tell the guy enjoyed the conversation. I felt very positive about getting an offer, however I was contacted by the recruiter, and they set up a call to meet. This was an over the phone rejection. Which is frustrating because the reason was that I didn't have enough technical skill, but then why did I even have a culture fit interview? The recruiter definitely did his best to make me feel like I was going to get a job out of this.
Why waste my time and have me get on the phone just to reject me? I had to wait a full 24 hours and schedule a time slot just to get rejected??
It was interesting to hear a lot of similar feedback for Slalom on here. They drag things out to make it as optimal for the business and thats really not cool when you are dealing with peoples livelihood.
