One phone interview, one in person interview. From start to finish, the process took maybe 2-3 weeks. During the in person interview, the coordinator welcomed me promptly, but the team took about 20+ minutes to come meet with me. I was supposed to be done by 2:30, it was almost 3:30 by the time I was done. I consider that really bad time management on their part. I met with three people- the two who run the development program and one person on the sales team junior to them. They were all really nice and pleasant- questions were more to get to know my background and my experience, and learning about the program.
I got a brief tour of the office at the end, and was surprised by how FEW women there are (yes, I get it is tech.. but there are always ways to work around it). I was asked to decide if "I wanted to proceed" after a few weeks (and two snow storms). I did, but had a few questions. I was given one day to think about joining the company (no formal offer- I considered it a soft offer since we talked salary and was told "ball is in your court") and asked to email them the next day. I did, with follow up questions but did not hear back until almost 6pm. A number of factors didn't line up for me based on the interactions between receiving a soft offer and my response (call it a woman's intuition if you want). In the end, I said, without the info, I couldn't commit. They in turn "decided to go in another direction".
