Initially applied in November, a recruiter reached out in January and did an initial phone screening with me. Very easy questions and pleasant to talk to. Overall a good experience speaking with her. She set up a secondary interview with a director and supervisor for the following week.
Didn't feel a personal connection to the role or company during the second call. One of the people interviewing me had a very aggressive personality and challenged all of my answers during the interview process. I had the feeling that this person had made a judgment about me right from the get go. Super impersonal and I get the feeling that I wouldn't click with them as a leader. During the second part of the interview they make you do a roleplay exercise, they explained that you get 5 minutes to prepare but the interviewer rushed me and barley gave me 30 seconds. It wasn't a problem to not get 5 minutes as you get the role play scenario a day before the interview - more than enough time to prepare and I honestly would have been fine to just jump into it. It was annoying that the interviewer was so persistent as it gave me the vibe that they had already decided at that point that they would not be proceeding with my candidacy and didn't even want to give me a chance. I also found out that they had been mass hiring for this role since November. Makes me nervous that they are mass hiring as I'm sure they'll end up with mass layoffs later down the road. They allow you to ask questions at the end of the interview and this is one topic that I brought up. Saw red flags all over the place during this second interview.
