Arrived to the interview 20 min earlier, had to wait even 20 more minutes, interview was at 10am and the interviewer was late.
We sat down in a small office just the two of us and the interviewer asked me 5 questions:
-What it's your age?
-Who do you live with?
-How is your family composition?
-What kind of work does X family member do?
This las question was in English (the whole interview was in Spanish) and the interviewer didn't understand words like "enhance, noise, postprocessing, phase"
-I see you are in X institute, how it's education there? -pointing at the first and most recent item under "education" category-
After my answer the interviewer replied "...ah hmm"
And then the interviewer who hadn't written any notes or anything else besides my age, who I live with and "mother, brother", closed his notebook and started telling me the same old speech "we will take your application in consideration for other..."
And that was all, the interviewer didn't asked me about my technical background, certifications, projects or any other technical stuff. I tried to slide some info about how did I learned and why, while answering the questions about my family.
During the whole interview (5min or so) the interviewer was laid back in his chair, looking at the walls or the ceiling, playing with her hair, to the point of having her face covered with hair and then removing it like she was in the beach or something like that, making noises, blowing air, you could see the interviewer was somewhere else.
Didn't had an offer, but I appreciate it more that way, I know that when I'm the smartest person in the room, and the other person is supposed to judge you, you aren't going to end well.
I'm a very professional, proactive, accountable and collaborative person. But I shouldn't have meet the requirements wherever they where for this interviewer.
I advice the company or this branch to improve the hiring process with a more professional recruiter, IT Recruiter it's a thing of its own for a reason.
