      Claim Processor - Auto Interview

      May 1, 2012
      Anonymous employee
      Ballston Spa, NY
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at State Farm (Ballston Spa, NY) in Apr 2012

      Interview

Applied online via the State Farm website, I was accepted to apply for the position and was sent an online skills assessment test via email to complete. The Skills assessment consisted of two separate tests. The first test were situation, following directions and standard personality based questions. The second test was a typing test. I was then contacted by a member of Human Resources via the phone telling me they would like to set up a phone interview. Which would be about 30-40 minutes and I would be asked a few questions. I was then sent an email conformation with the Time/Date of my phone interview. I was called at the exact time specified. The woman on the phone was very nice and asked me some basic questions about myself and my resume. She then asked a few situation based questions, and then explained the position in greater detail. At the end of phone interview, I was told that they would like to extend an offer for a interview with the hiring manager. I accepted and was sent a conformation email with the, Time/Date/Location of my interview. I arrived at the office 15 minutes early, The interviewer came out at the exact time of our interview. I was then brought back into the room where another interviewer was waiting. I was told they were two different managers from two different departments in auto claims. They told me a little about themselves and then asked me some basic questions about myself, and a few situation based questions. They took notes based on my answers and the interview itself took about 25 minutes. I was then asked if I had any questions, They also explained the position and then told me I would receive a phone call or email within a few days with there final answer. I received a phone call within a 2-3 days and was offered the position, contingent upon a drug test and background check. I was told I will receive a few emails with the procedure to go about each test and the results usually take 7-10days. Once the results are in I will receive another phone calls with my final offer.

      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 months. I interviewed at State Farm (Frederick, MD) in Apr 2014

      Interview

I applied online late March and received an email to complete a battery, skills, and data entry test. Two days later, I received an email informing me I passed the tests and that a recruiter would contact me to schedule an interview. My interview was in late April and it was a phone interview which took about an hour. The recruiter was very professional, thorough and helpful through the process. We discussed my employment background and went over a series of behavioral questions. We went over salary and unfortunately that was non-negotiable. She told me that I wouldn't hear back about whether or not a offer would be presented until the end of May. She notified me that start date for the position would be in July. I heard back from a recruiter Mid- May (this month) with an contingent offer (passing background completed by hire right and drug screen). There would be no additional interviews after the phone interview. At this point I am just waiting to hear back from two other positions from other companies one offering 42K and the other offering 35K because State Farm is only offering me 31K and I left my previous position making 36K.
