I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at State Street (Hyderābād) in Jan 2018
Interview
It was short 10 mins interview. The interviewer asked good question but the only problem was the interviewer was not ready for other type of approaches.Might be he was having some solution in his mind and he wanted to just listen to that.
Not at all open to discuss about other types of solutions.
There are lot of negative reviews about this company but i still gave a interview and would say negative experience though the questions were good.
Topics : jdbc,Java ds comparator and treemap, write the binding function of angular js in plain javascript.
No update after the interview the closure should be proper.

I applied through a staffing agency. I interviewed at State Street (Plainsboro, NJ) in Jul 2025
Interview
Interview Process: Two-Stage Technical EvaluationI interviewed for a contract role at State Street through a vendor. The process consisted of two rounds:
- Round 1 (Vendor Screening): Focused on core Java, Spring Boot, and SQL. I was asked to write a RESTful API using Spring Boot, implement the equals and hashCode logic for a POJO, and write one SQL query.
- Round 2 (State Street Panel): This round was with two State Street interviewers. They asked general Spring Boot questions, followed by some deep-dive questions on Kafka. At the end, they asked me to write two coding programs: Parenthesis Matching (using a stack) and the Two Sum problem.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at State Street (Bangalore Rural) in Mar 2025
Interview
Only one round of Technical, Interviewer asked very basic questions about spring boot and just after 8 minutes he said sorry to say you not up to the mark even though i have answered all questions correctly i did even cross verify it before posting this . It all felt like already had someone selected and they are doing it for formality . if i would have given 2-3 questions wrong i would agree bust except one i gave answer to all with proper explanation still ended interview abruptly.

Question 1
What type of api call you use to get employee data from backend while passing employee name and id
Asked me basic Java questions, and then gave me an assignment to complete. The assignment was a full application, frontend to backend. Next round, I was asked to explain my assignment and then was final round. But beware, they will lie to you in the JD. At lots of places they use an ETL tool called Kettle, which is a legacy old school tool BAD for your CV. Try to ask them this question before you go ahead.
