The recruiter sent me am email ask for a 10-15 mins phone interview as well as attaching several questions for me to answer before the interview. In the reply email, I told the recruiter honestly that I am an international student, don't have green card and need the visa sponsorship next year, and asked if I can do their projects (they work for federal and government). I emphasized my visa status twice but he still scheduled the interview without answering my questions.
Then the next day, the interview only lasted for 2 minutes. The recruiter went very straightforward at the beginning by asking if I have any restriction to work for the government. He explained that they are working for the federal and government, and may probably hire people who have already had green card or something. I was so confused. It seems like he already knew clearly about my visa status but still make the call to reject me in person???
