I applied online. I interviewed at TELUS (Cork) in Aug 2022
Interview
I had to read a 160-page book to learn the whole process which took me three days. Did the exam, failed and got no feedback.
I basically wasted three days of my life in the middle of doing a post-grad final project for a job that doesn't even pay a living wage. Any decent company interviews you on your skills and then trains you, that's what a normal company does.
Telus expects you to waste your time training for a job that you then don't get. TBH I couldn't care less that I didn't get the job as it was only part-time but I am annoyed with the whole wasting of my time. If a company can't at least do a video interview then it's not worth it.
The one good thing is that it taught me that if a company can't be bothered to even make a simple video call never mind a face-to-face interview then that says a lot about what they think about their workers.
I won't be making this mistake with any other company in the future.
