Started with a company recruiter screening, followed by an interview with a senior manager, an Architectural Screening, and a Case Study interview. They messed up the Case Study by not providing necessary prep information, so then I had to have more rounds and a do-over for the Case Study. Because of this, the process took over a month and a half.
Got the feeling there were mixed ideas on the team about what the role entails. Feedback was shallow, nitpicky and contradictory, even contradicting their own brief. Don't think they had read the brief at all, or even understood the role they were hiring for. One of the interviewers made an exaggerated yawning gesture in the middle of my Case Study. Felt like the team weren't taking the process seriously and were more focused on finding problems and reasons not to hire. Possible information harvesting exercise.
Team seemed to lack the ability to extrapolate basic information and had a poor understanding of the software development life cycle. Everyone is so new to the team, within the last 6 months, or even 3 months. Interview process is definitely not designed to show candidate at their best, they seem to be actively looking to catch you out for the most contrived reasons.
