Received a call from a headhunter regarding a field role and had a 20 minute discussion about the role. Then had a call with the company recruiter that was about 30 minutes, both this one and the headhunter were pretty standard interviews and questions about my exisiting territory. Next step was a phone interview with the hiring manager, who really seemed only interested in my active rolodex. Was told by him the next step was to speak with one of his SEs. Everything went silent for a month after that and never heard back from the multiple emails/voicemails left. Hiring manager sent me a LinkedIn connection for some reason, but no message. Contacted him through LinkedIn about no next steps yet, and he said he'd give me a call the next day, which he never did. Recruiter then set up a WebEx to have the SE do a demo of their product, yet it wasn't a demo. The upper level tech manager just asked me questions and kept it conversational. After that I got the email rejection. Very hit and miss on next steps, and I know someone who used to work there that left and said he won't miss the company. Probably a good thing it never went any further.
