I was initially contacted by a recruiter through LinkedIn and we had the initial conversation on the phone and then moved to the on-site interview within two weeks. The whole process was very quick and easy, the recruiter was very helpful in guiding through the process. The entire interview set up is STAR based, starting from the initial interview with the recruiter to the in-person interviews. They even send you tips and what to look out for as an interview prep before you do the interview, which is nice to see that they want the candidate to be aware of what to expect. All the questions were behavioral based, tell me about a time you experienced this etc. The shifts available for the role were 6-6 Sat-Mon or 6-4/4-2 Tues-Fri. I was offered the 6pm to 6am Sat-Mon so be prepared that you may not get the shift you want.
After the on-site, the verbal offer came within a few days. I unfortunately had to decline the offer as it did not match up to the market standard. I believe the pay is under the market value given what the role is and there are other similar roles that pay a bit higher than Target. We had went back and forth on the negotiation about 3 times on the salary and other items, and I ultimately declined as Target failed to value my APICS certification and did not deem it to be a value added education (the team needs to research on this side). Relocation is offered if you are willing to move or applied to an out of state position.
