I applied online. I interviewed at The Washington Post
Interview
After applying I received and acknowledgement email and then a follow up to set up a time to interview. It was laid back and casual and done remotely. Basic questions about background and relevance to role, what I could bring and what I would change.
Typical interview process where I was called in and asked questions about who I am and my experience. Furthermore, I was able to ask them questions as well. The interview ended with them letting me know that they would call me back, which they did.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at The Washington Post (Washington, DC) in May 2010
Interview
In general, management always has its eyes out for young rising talent in the industry. The interview process usually involved meeting with several different editors.
