Initially I was contacted by the Regional Manager for SE Wisconsin. He had claimed to have looked at my LinkedIn, and that he had seen my resume on Monster. While I had no notifications of views on my LinkedIn I went ahead and sent some emails back and forth between this person.
Eventually we had a phone interview where he asked how I go to where I was today. I was also asked about my work and education experience, in addition to my goal for my next career.
After I got done answering those questions he went on to say what the company was about. He talked about how they had changed from only working with lutherans to now christians, and how the change brought an increase in the market available to Thrivent.
Finally he said he wanted me to move forward with the hiring process, and that he wanted me to take some "test" to find out what would be a good role for me. I know these tests to be aptitude test, and overall a huge waste of time. He did not say how I would take these tests, and I assumed that meant they were no longer interested.
After that I no longer contacted this individual, and was not interested in any opportunities with Thrivent.
What a waste of time.
