I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at TikTok (Austin, TX) in Apr 2020
Interview
The recruiter was so disengaged and uninterested in our call. She was late and it lasted only 8 minutes. Having 5 years of Account Management experience in programmatic media, I was very surprised that she did not want to know more about my background as it directly aligns with what they were looking for.
When she asked if I had any questions, she seemed almost annoyed by me asking. She did not provide any additional information about the role or the company outside of what was posted in the job description.
The candidate experience is a very poor reflection of the company and the people they hire.
Hr called me, asked me a few questions, intro, why you leave your current company, are you actively looking for new opportunities etc. The interview progress is smooth, and pass me to hiring manager round very smoothly.
5 stages, very long process but they do it quickly if they want you. good compensation, very good benifits. the interviews are also not horrid, they ask reasonable questions. oh my god why does it need to be so long
The interview process for the Account Manager role at TikTok was straightforward and professional. It began with an initial recruiter screen, followed by a more technical round focused on account management. The team provided clear insights into their structure and expectations, making the entire experience feel organized and transparent from start to finish.
