Horrible interview process. Pitch on a product you currently don’t sell. Present a PowerPoint detailing your prospecting plan for the area and a restaurant analysis of of restaurant you don’t currently know or sell. Many hours spent on this because I’d heard such great thing about toast. 4 interviews. Made it all the way to the 4th interview only to not get an offer and be told that the RVP of sales didn’t think I wanted it bad enough. My product knowledge wasn’t enough. Then why the heck did I spend all those hours preparing because I don’t perfectly know a product I haven’t trained on or because I didn’t seem eager enough. Seems to be a BS process. I understand vetting future employees but please be careful of how you respond. To tell someone they didn’t put enough work in is ludicrous. They shouldn’t have been pushed through anyways. Ridiculous. They say they are employee and people first but the disregard shown for prospective employees is horrific.
