Originally, I applied for the TSE title and had 4 rounds of interviews. Hiring Manager, another Hiring Manager, a panel of 5 to talk about "Twilio Magic" (had to take a whole day off to even do this, 6 hours) and then one last Manager.
1st interview was just normal, "hey we saw your resume, are you real?" type of interview.
2nd interview was weird with a guy that I'm not sure if he got fired or stop being hiring manager based on the feedback I got later. Similar to the 1st interview with slightly more technical questions.
3rd interview was broken down to their mission statement. Some people were more about inclusion or technical aspects or how prioritize. If you google Twilio Magic, you get an idea of what they will focus on.
4th interview was because I don't know what happen to the 2nd guy, basically the same as the 2nd interview.
After all this was done I had a scheduled call to basically hear empty non-stop praise and not get the job (you could have just sent me an email and wasted less of my time).
What followed was MONTHS of them offering me jobs that made NO SENSE in terms of my experience or the HOURS I spend talking to dozens of people. Time after time, very obviously, I was told I would be good for the company but obviously not this position.
My biggest complaint is not even the people I interviewed with but the hiring manager that had NO IDEA what jobs to offer me and continuously wasted my time after explaining why these job offers made no sense. Literally it felt like everything I had spoke about meant nothing to these people and they were just stringing me along.
