I recently went through the interview process at a software company. It began with me submitting my resume and cover letter through their online portal. Shortly after, I received an email from a recruiter to schedule an initial phone screening. During this call, we discussed my background, relevant skills, and my interest in the company. I was then invited to a first-round video interview with a hiring manager, where we delved deeper into my technical expertise and problem-solving abilities. This was followed by a second-round interview that included a technical coding test and a panel interview with team members. I felt confident about my performance and was hopeful as I awaited feedback. Unfortunately, a week later, I received an email informing me that they had decided to move forward with another candidate. While it was disappointing not to receive an offer, I appreciated the opportunity and gained valuable experience from the process.
