The interview was on Zoom with the PI and lab manager. They started with the interview questions, and then asked if I had any questions. They then described the study I would be working on. The whole process was 1 interview and providing references.

Question 1
The interview process contained very standard questions, things like what is your greatest weakness, when is a time you went above and beyond for work, describe a time you disagreed with a boss or coworker, etc.
Rigous multiple steps sort of competitive like a PhD program and offers less money because they can get away with it due to grad and undergraduate students looking for research
It was all pretty quick; they got back to you pretty fast regarding scheduleling. For the various research positions I interviewed for, there was one with your supervisors and then a peer interview, which may also include a director interview.

Question 1
They often ask about future plans since they want to ensure you can stay for the duration of the project.
A number of pre-set questions where you feel like you never have a good answer unless you happen to have been in the situation they're asking about. For one I gave a more conceptual answer and then they asked for something more specific about my experience in that situation (which I had never been in). Otherwise, pretty straightforward. Interviewed with a number of people from the team.
