1st - I received an email from a recruiter to set up a 30 min call to discuss the role fit, benefits package, and interview timeline. 2nd - 30 min call with the hiring manager- discuss the role, my background/skills, and situational-based questions. After the call, the recruiter reached out (email) about next steps where I would be interviewed by a panel of peers. The recruiter said they would be sending dates and times. After a week goes by, I emailed the recruiter for follow up and seeking out the dates and times to go on to next steps. I was ghosted and the next email I received was a auto-generated rejection notice and that they would be moving on with other candidates. I was blindsided because the interviews were going well, and the hiring manager and the recruiter advised me that I was a good fit.
