I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at USAA (San Antonio, TX) in Mar 2020
Interview
I applied online in mid February and received the assessment about a week later. The assessment is kind of difficult and it was timed. I was contacted in early March by a recruiter and she scheduled an interview with a hiring manager the following week. I got a call about a week after the interview with a job offer which I accepted. However, I got an additional call a couple of days later and got offered a job with a little more pay but essentially the same role and hours - new member solutions specialist. I took my drug test and my background check and was cleared within a week. I am expected to start next week (late April). All in all, the process took about 2 months but the recruiters have been amazing and very helpful throughout this whole process.
The hiring manager interview was over the computer. Two people were on the line.. I believe HR was there to take notes! The interview was supposed to be 45 min long and mine was about 25-30 min. Questions were fair with a role play at the end. Be prepared to ask questions as well at the end. I did not get a chance to do a face to face interview because coronavirus had just started in my city and shut down home office.
Easy and super fast, it took me 2 weeks total from applying until getting an offer. Phone screen interview, and then in person with hiring manager. In person took about 30 minutes
After filling out the initial application I was invited to take an online skills assessment which included timed portions and was fairly lengthy. There was also a brief phone screening, and then an in person interview with the manager.
Very specific questions. Be really prepared to come up with a story on the spot. Nothing to do with the job description. They want you to sound like a robot.
