I applied through college or university. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at USAA (San Antonio, TX) in Apr 2014
Interview
Two interviews, the first one with an technical manager, and the second (final) interview was with two senior managers. After the first interview, they booked us into a nice hotel in downtown San Antonio, took us to dinner, and then the next day they gave us a complete tour of the entire campus. It was between the tours that we did our final interviews.

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at USAA (San Antonio, TX) in Dec 2018
Interview
Whole process was very smooth. Two phone interviews with HR and Hiring Manager, then USAA flew me out to San Antonio for the final interview. I was with a group of experienced candidates, personally I wasn't asked any of the logic puzzle type questions, those might only be asked for fresh graduates (I learned that SDI III is actually entry level). The day lasted from around 7:30am until noon, and consisted of:
- A tour of the impressive San Antonio campus
- Breakfast and casual chat with interviewers
- Two group exercises: agile development task estimation and agile release planning
- Tech interview portion with two 45 minute 1-on-1 interviews, some scripted questions

Question 1
Explain the method signature: public static void main(String[] args)
The interview was quite simple. The interview made me feel at ease and then made some small talk. Then asked me a few technical programming questions on OO programming. I expected it to be a lot more detailed but he cut it short and I thought I might have lost the job. But I did receive an offer which I declined later.
