I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at USAA (Tampa, FL) in Jan 2011
Interview
The first step was a phone interview which went over my resume. Next, I met with a manager one on one. The questions were standard and there were many disclaimers about adhering to the script. Last, I received a phone call and underwent a background check.

Question 1
Describe a time when you had to handle a customer complaint and how you went about it.
The interview process is relatively straightforward. For any contact center role, they take into account any customer-facing positions you’ve had in the past and prioritize your most recent experience. Having at least some knowledge of the military community helps as USAA remains loyal to its member base, which is composed mostly of those who were in the military or have had family that served.
