USI Insurance Services interview questions

A friend referred the company and I applied to this position. Recruiter emailed and set up a phone interview asking about my skills and background. I passed this easily and we set up the next round of an in-person interview on site at the end the call. I was told I was to interview with three people. Instead it was two. I was asked many of the same questions about my experience with in insurance, handling medical only claims, background in workers compensation, and adjuster experience. In the end, I was also asked about a start date and notified them of an upcoming vacation. After sending thank you emails the hiring manager asked again about the vacation I mentioned, to which I provided the details. Then I never heard from the company again - even after sending a follow up email. I'm sure when they do hire someone, I'll get one of those generic emails that they hired a different candidate.
