About a week after applying online I got an email from a recruiter asking me to reach out to him for a phone interview. I thought this was odd since in my experience corporate recruiters need to be ultra organized and keep to a specific schedule. I called and caught a voicemail, which it was fine I understand being busy. BUT he never reached out to me or responded to the voicemail or email I sent over trying to schedule a time. This is where I started to sense the unprofessionalism. When I called the next day first thing in the morning it seemed like he was uninterested about even being at his desk. It took 5-7 minutes just to pull up my profile and he resisted any kind of small talk to make it less awkward. The questions where standard questions but they were delivered in a way that are confusing. To add to that, when I asked him to repeat the question he huffed and puffed then started to reword the question in a condescending tone. Honestly, I don’t know why anyone would continue the process after talking with him. Due to his attitude I pretty much ended the conversation and wrote off any want to work for this company. Sure everyone has a bad day but you have to remember the person is also interviewing you/your company as well.
