I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at VIPKid in Jun 2016
Interview
Was very interesting as the interview took only a few minutes. Most of the interview was hard to understand as the person had a heavy accent, what made it harder to understand was that the interviewer was in a room with about 30 other people who were also simultaneously talking.

Got hired as a British speaking then cancelled as not from America which I disclosed at the first interview which I think was silly and unprofessional at the time it was during covid when this happpened.
Very lenghthy interview process, but the interviewers were nice and helpful. There were several steps to the process and it was pretty involved. I had to prepare a lesson beforehand
It was easy an straightforward. 1 interview and 2 mock classes to pass. They offer a contract for a year with option to renew after 1st contract is over. Overall the process last for about 2 weeks from the time you apply unless you are waitlisted.
