I was reminded by email and by text message of the appointment that was made for the interview. I was impressed by the convenience that they were creating for their interviewees and was excited for the opportunity to share my experience with the management team. I was asked to fill out another application and was placed in a room with other awaiting interviewees. There was a range of attire, although I was instructed to dress in business attire. We were interviewed in pairs, which I thought was interesting. Maybe this was done to encourage healthy competition for the position. Each of us was asked the same questions and there was no real interest in in-depth responses. For my interviewer, there didn't appear to be a correct answer to any of the questions that were presented. He did dismiss the other candidate and offered me a second interview. I was then asked to stick around for 90 minutes for the rest of the interview process. I was unaware of this requirement, so I expressed that I had other appointments that conflicted with waiting around. He then, very impolitely might I add, stated "Well, there's the door. Apparently, you're not what we're looking for." I was taken aback by the blatant disrespect and the lack of professionalism, but I elected to share my experience in exchange for a rude retort. Maybe someone else will read this and will look elsewhere for employment. I can't undo my experience, but I might be able to prevent someone else from having to endure such condescension.
