I applied through other source. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Vector Marketing (Boston, MA) in May 2017
Interview
The interview consists of three parts. A pre-screen where they kick out all the black people and anyone from a town that doesn't have people that can afford their expensive cutlery (this is LITERALLY the instruction from management), then a group "interview," which is just a 90 minute scripted presentation selling you on the job/products, asking softball questions so that you feel "interviewed." Then they bring you into a 1-on-1 final interview and make you sell them on why you think you'd be a great fit. Oh, and they also ask you to recommend your friends for interviews too. Some managers actually tell you you won't get the job if you don't write down as many of your friends' phone numbers as possible, or that it might "hurt your chances."
They hire everyone they keep for the group interview (unless they walk out), tell you that YOU'RE special because you were so IMPRESSIVE and you really STOOD OUT. Then they pressure you to miss classes, other job, family obligations because you need to go to 3 days of unpaid training RIGHT AWAY (even though all offices have weekly training). In reality, they want to indoctrinate you as soon as possible, before you have enough time to realize you don't want to exploit your personal contacts to become a traveling knife salesman.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
What three things about the Vector opportunity impressed/excited you the most?
It was a zoom meeting with other candidates, but we were interviewed separately, it went well very well learned about the position and also, we had a meet up at the office to practice with the product and learned even more about sales.
I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Vector Marketing in Jul 2025
Interview
It was a quick easy zoom call in a group interview followed by an individual phone call interview with an answer if you’re hired or not then and there. Simple easy questions as well.
I interviewed at Vector Marketing (San Marcos, TX)
Interview
There’s a zoom interview that can take up to an hour. Questions are simple like why are you looking for a job, and asking if you can schedule a 2-day training on Friday and Saturday.
