I received a letter from the company detailing their salary and not much else. I did some research later and found out that its a company that sells CUTCO knives. I was a bit suspicious when I read some reviews on them but I scheduled an interview anyway.
Expect the interview to be REALLY long (somewhere around 3 hours). You're escorted into a poorly decorated room where 10 or so other people (mostly teenagers) are waiting for the interview too. During the wait, you'll be filling out applications while listening to blaring pop music.
Once you're finished with applications, you're hiring manager (who usually looks no older than 30). asks you basic questions like "Why do you want to work for Vector?" "What do you hope to gain from Vector?" "How can you contribute to Vector?" (Hint: Everyone moves on to the "group interview" no matter what their answers are)
After the first round of interviews, you're given the "group interview". It's basically just a presenation where the manager shows of the CUTCO cutlery brand with demonstrations and a PowerPoint.
When presentation's over, the manager will call two interviewees at a time to tell them that they've got the job. Once again, EVERYBODY and I mean EVERYBODY gets the job.
KEEP IN MIND: This is strictly a sales job so your income won't be guaranteed like a regular hourly job.
