WillowTree interview questions

15 min phone screen with recruiter (amazing communicator and attitude, very honest and comfortable to engage with) 1 hour portfolio presentation with design director (interviewer was different than who I was originally scheduled with, not evident they had much context or understanding of my background or had even viewed my portfolio beforehand, their engagement/response with my presentation and design decision questions was limited, some dismissal for including a project that wasn't for a billable client) 30 minute design challenge instructions with VP design director (incredibly gracious and humble, collaborative and encouraging, much better experience than design director and obvious to me why they would have more authority and responsibility in the company than regional design director)

First round was very general questions on skillset - similar to many companies. Second round was about experience, skills, goals. Unfortunately, I did not have the necessary experience needed for the position, but interviewer was very kind and straightforward. Even though I didn't get beyond the second round, it was a good experience.
