Interview
I wish I could give negative 10 stars. My experience with Workday's hiring process has been nothing short of frustrating, disappointing, and utterly unprofessional. From the start, I was excited about the opportunities with Workday. As a perfect match for the roles I applied for, with years of relevant experience and a glowing internal referral from a current Workday employee, I was confident about my potential for these positions. However, my excitement quickly turned into disillusionment as my application seemed to fall into a black hole. Despite my proactive attempts to follow up, there was a complete lack of response or feedback from the recruiters and hiring managers over a span of two months. My concerns deepened when a friend, who applied for the same position weeks after I did, was promptly contacted for an interview. This disparity in response times was not only shocking but incredibly disheartening. I attempted to seek clarification from Workday’s recruitment team and internal managers about the status of my application and this discrepancy. Unfortunately, their silence only added to my frustration, further souring my impression of the company. The hiring process is a crucial part of an organization, as it reflects the company's values and treatment of potential employees. Sadly, Workday's approach seems disorganized, unresponsive, and inefficient. This experience has severely tarnished the company's reputation in my eyes. Workday's blatant disregard for communication and transparency throughout the hiring process is unacceptable and extremely unprofessional. The seeming incompetence of the recruiters and hiring managers has been a bitter pill to swallow. I would have expected more from a company of Workday's stature. This experience has been a frustrating waste of time and I can confidently say I will not be considering any future opportunities with Workday. This is not a review I take lightly or enjoy writing, but my hope is that it can help others to manage their expectations when considering roles with Workday.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
My interactions with Workday were limited solely to their automated email service, a starkly impersonal experience. To gain clarity, I reached out to the recruiter responsible for the role, expressing my concerns and seeking an update on the status of my application. The recruiters at Workday displayed a shocking level of disregard for their applicants, bordering on cowardly behaviour. This absolute non-response to a candidate's earnest inquiries, I believe, is inexcusable and reflects poorly on the organization's values.
