The interview went well enough (over Google Hangouts), although the interviewers seemed stuck on my previous role (18 months), which didn't really relate to the role for which I was being interviewed. I told them that other roles related better, although they didn't ask me about them.
The next stage was a technical interview, I was told.
I got a call from the HR lady the next day. Despite having been asked almost no technical questions -- and certainly not being asked for any technical answers -- she told me that the interviewers said that I wasn't technical enough. She also had the audacity to say that the interviewers thought that I was better suited do a risk and compliance role, despite over 10 years' previous experience in technical roles.
Poor interviewing, Xero. I expected more. If you wanted technical answers, then ask technical questions.
