      QA Analyst Interview

      Jul 8, 2015
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      San Francisco, CA
      No offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Xero (San Francisco, CA) in Jun 2015

      Interview

It was industry usual process. First the phone screen then 1:1 over hangouts then onsite with panel. The office location is nice and the people were nice and friendly. They advertised for analyst but they are mostly looking for a Lead role for a new team they are building from scratch. The interview process is not inline with the job description in the ad. Ad asked for beginner to moderate coding skills however the type of questions and the emphasis on coding during interviews says otherwise. Moreover this is all back-end API testing related position with no UI but the ad does not make a mention of such.
