I was an undergraduate student of computer engineering when I gave this interview. It was three round hiring process
1. Pre-HR round - This round was carried out for checking basic English communication skills and job suitability of the candidates. General questions like 'Tell me about yourself', 'Why Yardi?', 'What do you know about Yardi Software India?' were asked. Apart from that, job profile was explained by interviewer, which was SQL based database support role and I was asked whether I was fine with it, to which I answered yes.
2.Technical interview Round - I was interviewed by group of 2 interviewers. As it was SQL based role, most of the questions were based on MySQL and Relational DBMS concepts. Questions were asked to check the understanding of DBMS concepts. I was asked about backend of my project in detail which was designed using MySQL.I was asked to draw ER diagram of project database and also to explain project functionalities from database POV. Basic database concepts like joins(with query writing), constraints, normalization were also asked.
Do study and revise your project in detail and have your explanations ready about how concepts of RDBMS(like normalization, constraints, triggers, cursors) were applied in your project before going for this round.
(Some applicants had to give two technical interviews while some were directly sent to Final HR round)
Final HR round - I was not shortlisted for this round.
The overall process was very smooth. The interviewers were very polite and considerate. It was certainly an enriching experience for me.
