The position was introduced to me by a recruiter, telling me that they are searching for a very long time already and I might be a good fit, although he did not really know my background into detail. My first phone interview was with an HR person from headquarter in China, the connection was very poor so sometimes it was hard to understand each other. I am a more technical analyst but also have experience in market research, but from the beginning, they were worried that the position might not be technical enough for me / me not having enough experience in research. Nevertheless, I was invited to a second skype interview with the senior hiring manager, zero questions about my background, only questions related to the future position. For the next round, I had to prepare some general summary about App Annie, their services, feedback on their blog posts, etc. The interview was through skype again, with the same senior hiring manager and an analysis related manager from another team. I was asked at the beginning to present the summary just my way, no instruction or time limit were given, so I started to present and talked for about 10 minutes I guess. Afterwards, there were some follow-up questions, general questions and questions from my side. After that, I was contacted by my recruiter telling me that they are putting me on hold because they think I am better in technical analysis, which might be true. In the end, I didn't hear back from them for several weeks and got another offer in between.

Submitted my application online after seeing LinkedIn posting. Got a response within a few hours to setup a phone screen. Picked a time for my phone screen. Received an invitation to next round with hiring manager later the same day (mock call)--was some questions about my experience/interest in the product and then a mock call-->feedback--> another try at the call to rectify some of the issues. Received an invitation later that day to come into the office for an in-person the next two days. Was provided detailed instructions & they were very understanding of my schedule (I was working full-time) so I went in that evening, was greeted & met with the recruiter. Introduced to the hiring manager (head of sales) & then met with the person I would be meeting with. Lots of questions about why I wanted the job and why I was interested in the company in particular. Very thoughtful/thought-provoking interview (really made me think about why I would be a good fit and if the role itself was interesting). I wasn't that thrilled about the role when I first started the interview process, but after speaking with people and learning more about the company/team/position, I knew it would be a good fit. Called back with a verbal offer the next day.
