When you interview for a position as an information security analyst, you will be be asked about your experience with information security systems and given questions that test your problem solving skills. Explain that symmetric uses a single key for both encryption and decryption, while asymmetric uses one key for encryption and another for decryption. So they didn't really know what to ask me because none of them had ever been around a real CISO before, but they tried asking about whether I would add friction to processes in the name of security quite a bit.
