In the first interview I was asked about the reason why I have applied for the position. How can my background help me on the role, and other questions related to my CV and background. However, in the second interview (via skype) I was interviewed by two people who made a bunch of weird and slightly unrelated to the position questions. For example I got asked what I would do if someone from the team wasn't working as hard as the rest of the team members and whether I would take the issue higher up to the managers. I also got asked how trivago makes money, how I would organise an event, three tings that I want my interviewees to teach me, and three things that I can teach them, why I would like to get the job (apart of course from the obvious reason of not starving to death), how do my friends describe me, and how would clients describe me after talking to them. There was a plethora of other questions, and the interview ended with a role play where I was a shop owner and the two interviewers were two customers coming in my shop to buy something. At this point I need to point out that at the end of the first interview I was told to read about a trivago tool in preparation for the second interview. Interestingly there was absolutely no question about what I was told to read and learn.
