The most disrespectful "senior" recruiter I have encountered in my years in HR. He not only interrupted me several times while I was answering his questions, but from the very beginning, he appeared visibly disinterested in what I had to say. At the end of the interview, he informed me that he would pass my resume to the hiring manager (the CEO) and update me on next steps within a few days. However, less than six hours after our video call, I received a generic rejection email.
Given the timeline, I highly doubt the CEO had the opportunity to review my resume, and it was clear there was bias at play during the interview. When I asked him what his favorite aspect of Interface’s culture was, his response was, "I actually don't have one." For a senior recruiter to respond this way is alarming and raises serious concerns about whether this is an organization I would want to work for, or even engage with as a customer.
