The university offers more than 800 bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degree programs through 16 colleges and schools teaching a range of disciplines including nursing, journalism and engineering. ASU has a total annual enrollment of 194,000+ undergraduate, graduate and professional students on its four campuses in metropolitan Phoenix; most students attend the Tempe campus. More than 96,000 students are enrolled online. The university has a student-teacher ratio of 18-to-1. ASU was founded in 1885 as a teachers college.
