- Always mistakes in payroll and getting underpaid
- 6 month probation where you only get 40 hours holiday total (this was never explained to me until after I'd already maxed it out)
- Most visual merchandisers will treat sales advisors very rudely, or just pretend you don't exist. Definitely favouritism from team leaders/managers. In my store I felt there were racist undertones to this....any sales advisor who wasn't white and/or English was treated differently by a few of management, much harsher standards compared to the white sales advisors who could freely slack off the entire shift with the team leaders and change the rota so they could do what they wanted.
- Expected to wear Arket clothes every shift but the uniform allowance, realistically, will only get you a couple items so this is impossible unless you spend your own money on clothes you can't afford (from your min wage part time salary)
- Didn't get till trained for 2 weeks when I started, and shop floor is always understaffed in both mens and womens
- Unorganised management - I never received my final pay and in fact, Arket say I OWE them money. Called HR to sort it out, the area manager confirmed that a payroll mistake had been made and he needed to investigate, this was months ago and it still has not been resolved, can no longer access my payroll account so all my evidence is gone.....absolutely cheated me out of 2-3 weeks pay and no way to follow up because the employee turnaround is so high and they don't care about you.
