Pros

Payroll is usually timely and professional Good benefits Plenty of hours available (see why under 'Cons')

Cons

Understaffing is an everyday occurrence Administrative Director frequently tries to exercise authority and talks down to employees Extremely high turnover of staff Rarely (and by 'rarely' I mean never) told of the good job we do However, always reminded of where we've failed and criticized daily

Pros

When working here, you gain insight to how nurses work and the feel of working on a "floor" environment. Most employees are easy to talk to and are willing to help out at all times, especially when issue is concerning a patient. Environment is clean and well put together.

Cons

Most of the employees chat poorly about each other, some of the higher ranked managers aren't willing to help when pertaining to growth, etc.

One of our goals is to ensure that staff have a good working experience. I would like to take the time to explain our health reimbursement arrangement plan so you fully understand and optimize the benefits of the plan. (I know someone who had a $15K surgery and didn't have to pay anything out of pocket!) I would also encourage you to initiate a meeting with your department manager and give them the opportunity to discuss in depth your review.
