Pros

I had an awesome team of Co-Workers, They pride there selves on the values of bergstrom autos and putting the clients first, Pay is by far the best! especially as a Sales Person. The Bergstrom family are definitely hands on, always walking through the doors of the dealership, clean work place.

Cons

Management was awful, I was there for less then two months before I got the boot for the worse reasons, after I left I found out it was because they promised my job to the receptionist at the time. there was a division between sales and service. Management was not very hands on. and just sat in the there offices all day. They received all the perks and had no care in the world, until the Tim or John Bergstrom walked through the door.

Pros

Not really any pros. Management is terrible. Benefits are terrible but they can donate millions instead of helping there employees. They take care of everyone but there employees. They give bonuses but then once you get them they keep raising the bar. Nothing is ever good enough.

Cons

This company really let me down and finally I had to leave. They force you to donate money so they look good to the community and if you don't they single you out. They never give raises. They want you to bend over backwards for there customers but they won't do the same for you. It's pretty much a brain washed company. It's like a cult. They also play dirty with there employees if they try and leave. If you a 2 weeks in they will more then likely just tell you to leave now. They back stab anyone who turns on them and leaves. Pretty sick. They have a major turn over rate but most people are to scared to say anything due to backlash. It's pretty sick that a company can bring in the money they do and pay there employees so poorly all money goes straight to CEO pocket...... After my employment here my whole family and friends refuse to purchase vehicles nor have any service done with Bergstrom. Maybe once more previous employee's see this post they will also write in. I am not just a pissed off employee that didn't get my way. I gave this company plenty of chances and gave my management plenty of chances for things to change and never did. After a couple years I had to just walk away. I was sad cause I never wanted to but wasn't going to let a company treat me like I was a nothing anymore.

Pros

Beautiful facilities. Willing to do whatever it takes to make their "guests" happy. Great inventory, able to sell from other locations in most cases.

Cons

First off, there are numerous locations, and every "management team" will be different. This is my own experience at one of them, so it could be better, but it could be worse. I worked at a "high volume" imports location and have been in the car business roughly 13 years. Sold 140+ cars-mostly used- and made about $50 grand. Pay plan is average at best. This organization that "promotes from within". If you are looking to advance from wash rack to parts this is the place for you. If you are looking to get into F&I or sales management, you have a better chance being hired from outside the company than you do internally. The good news is that promotions aren't exactly given on job performance but on... other things. There are numerous "VP's" and directors, and upper management is a collection of accountants and attorneys. The majority of the phone ups and web leads are processed at a central location and then given to a sales manager who then hands them off to a salesman... If the used car manager hires his buddy from high school, he will more than likely get the better leads, so if you rely on phone ups and Internet leads to sell cars, think twice. Overall, I would not recommend working for here, and if they do make any "promises", get them in writing.
