Pros

Good location in New Hampshire by the Seacoast. Good opportunity to gain some contacts in the business to use when you move on. Good entry level position for about 6 months.

Cons

Management counts your phone calls, emails, submittals and every hour that you work. Long work days. The real boss / owner runs the show while his manager enforces his rules. You're only as good as your last months performance. Extremely metric driven and behind the times when it comes to present day recruiting. No time to research new techniques to get in touch with people. Do as I say, not as I do mentality.

We appreciate your feedback, and although we disagree with your ‘boiler room’ description of the in-house recruiting atmosphere, we agree that our competitive environment is not for everyone. In fact, it is not for most people. Agency recruiting is HARD. At its essence, recruiting is a sales job. It requires courage, smarts, creativity, hard work, determination, persistence and an unrelenting desire to succeed. Our recruiters have real goals, real expectations and real accountability. The payoff for those who have the heart and drive meet these goals and expectations is both professionally and financially rewarding. Yes, we are metrics driven, as are all successful sales organizations. However, most of our recruiters are able to meet their metrics in less than a 37 hour work week. We offer flex schedules, 100% company paid for health, dental, disability benefits, a 4% 401k match, tuition reimbursement, company paid gym membership and paid time to work out during the work day, monthly company parties, free vending machine with unlimited coffee, drinks and snacks, state-of-the-art work space, and we close at 3pm every Friday, and that is just scratching the surface of the benefits that go along with working here. We are growing, and we are hiring. If you are someone who is motivated and thrives in a competitive, hard work/ high reward environment, we’d love to hear from you!

Pros

Cheap to live in NH

Cons

It's an agency. High pressure. Expected to perform quickly or else.

We do our absolute best to solve all problems here. We live and breathe improvement - but at the end of the day - we are in fact an agency and there is high pressure and we do expect our people to perform. I do appreciate the advice on making sure recruiters have time to find their stride. We have implemented 'grace periods' to allow new employees to ramp up and we are launching our Recruiter Mentor Program to help make a hard job a little easier. Thank you for sharing - this is how we get better.

Pros

Have you ever been on a job interview and they walked you around showing off their ping pong table and fancy kitchen, just to find out that everyone at the company is actually miserable and no one really uses all of those cool perks? This is NOT that place. Digital Prospectors is every bit of what they claim to be. People take advantage of the 1.5 lunch hour to work out, they actually play Foosball together, use their noise-makers to celebrate each other's success, earn absurd amounts of bonuses, get out of work early on Friday, reimburse their gym memberships, utilize their standing desks, play soccer together, eat free snacks.....the list goes on. Most people know that companies like this are few and far between, so if you can work here....stay here. Management will do whatever they can to make sure you get the help you need and are successful. But, recruiting is hard. So if you don't like staffing here, it probably just isn't for you.

Cons

Change is hard to swallow, especially at a small company. Everyone has an opinion, and when new ideas/teams/people/protocols are implemented, they aren't always well received.

You know what, you're right - change is hard and we're doing our best to do it in a measured and calculated way. Our goal is to fix what needs fixing while protecting all that makes us so great. We want to change for the better - not just for the sake of changing. I appreciate you sharing your thoughts - this is how we make the best changes!
