Pros

The company truly lives its values--especially its first one, "People are our strength"--genuinely valuing their employees and giving them every chance to succeed and grow. Another value, "Customers matter" comes across very clearly in the excellent service they deliver to customers and the professionalism with which they interact with partners. Edwards practices what it preaches as far as Enterprise Management and is the best-run small business I've ever heard of--*especially* in government contracting! It is a true pleasure to come to work every day and to work in an ego-free, professional, team-centered environment.

Cons

Edwards benefits are decent but not as competitive in the marketplace as they could be (e.g., most employees start with only three weeks of PTO and bonuses are rare for most); however, extra compensation is associated with completing training/certifications, which is a plus. There is a bit of an "old boys club" flavor among some management, but that is changing with new hires, promotions, and new ideas that are being well received.

We live by our Core Values and are glad that is evident. We evaluate our overall benefits package annually and make decisions that add the most value to our employees, as well as additional programs/benefits (e.g., local concert tickets, pet insurance, employee wellness initiatives).

Pros

- A culture of happy people who genuinely enjoy working for the company. - Incredible work life balance! - Professional development is heavily promoted and supported. - Wonderful, practical, and knowledgeable team members. - Very strong relationship with primary client. - Working from home is not only acceptable but often encouraged. - Good compensation and benefits - The company holds a high standard of excellence, especially in the field of project management.

Cons

People who are not open to professional development opportunities, especially through trainings and attaining certifications, likely will not blend well with the company culture at Edwards.

Pros

-Small firm so there is a great deal of support, and easy to get things done quickly -Salary is good, especially for this area -Programs that support professional development -Great benefits offering

Cons

-Quite the distance from DC metro area, so if one lives in DC, VA, or Southern MD then the commute is treacherous
