Raises do not match inflation. Designed to be a minimum wage job based on the realistic amount of hours you can accrue. Work life balance is tough; difficult to maintain boundaries. Benefits are impossible to receive and easily lost based on factors outside of your control (change in hours worked due to summer vacation)
