Pros
I made positive impact on a lot of people’s lives.
Cons
This is just a follow-up from when I got let go a year ago. Please- I urge you to think twice for accepting a position with ACS. They take advantage of and exploit kind, hard working people. Raising concerns and not having a “yes man” mentality is perceived as a threat. I have long lasting physical and mental trauma from my position. I straight up developed an auto-immune disorder from the amount of stress, hours, and insane workload I had. I have ptsd symptoms from how I was treated and let go, and now go to therapy. My body is still recovering from burn out a year later. I’ve tried voicing my concerns to appropriate parties and community leaders, but I learned that people that have an external appearance of giving and doing good work ultimately don’t care if it’s not for their benefit and if no one is watching 🤷♀️ To summarize, working for ACS was like being metaphorically punched in the face everyday and having to say thank you for it.
