Pros

-Industry is interesting -Staff itself is great -You get to try a lot of things

Cons

It's true that Ted is a megalomaniac boss and no fun to work for. Treats employees badly, overworks them and doesn’t care for their well being. He is a narcissist and talks badly of others in the event industry while thinking he is some kind of genius but it’s not the case. Pay is pretty bad. As a sales staff I made $10 plus commission and the raises i did hear of were miniscule. Hopefully things have gotten better since ive been gone.

Pros

I feel the need to make a comment about the two former employees that made comments that are simply not true! Ted and I do not have a toxic business relationship with yelling being the only way of communication. I cannot think of any day in the 14 years that I have worked for Ampa that I have had yelling communication with anyone. If that was the case, I would not still be here. #2. On February 4, 2025, a "Sales Manager" did a review. First of all, I am the Director of Sales and have been for many years, there has never been a "Sales Manager", which should question the legality of the review. Secondly, the remark by this same employee about Ampa's rentals and event ideas being old, shows that you knew nothing about the company. We receive new inventory constantly. The scene shop is regularly designing and building new scene sets and props. As far as the "old ideas": with the "old ideas" comes new inventory and designs. The "old ideas", for example, on our website are themes that are repeatedly asked for by clients and new ones added. "New ideas" are constantly being explored by our designers. If you had really been a Sales Manager with us, you would have known all of the above.

Cons

I have no cons with this company.

Pros

The people you work with

Cons

The management and ownership is ridiculous and probably violating at least 4 laws, that I can think of.
