Pros

they provide you with free food for your thirty minute lunch break you get a bonus at the end of the year around Christmas time the residents are nice

Cons

be prepared to work every weekend and holiday. the managers have little to no respect for you. they managers show favoritism to certain staff members. Hr doesn't listen to the employees and listens to the managers so if you have a complaint they patronize you and don't listen to your complaints. everybody gets fired for bs reasons like false rumors spread by other staff members. the staff is separated into cliques. you only make $10 an hour and they work you to death. expect to pick up extra shifts from workers who can care less. its hard work and little pay. expect to be cursed out/sexually harassed and discriminated against by the residents. under staffed/ underappreciated and underpaid.

Pros

the opportunity to build meaningful, long-term relationships with residents while gaining hands-on experience in patient care.

Cons

One of the major cons of working at Atlantic Shores was dealing with a toxic work environment where racism, favoritism, and unprofessional behavior among the staff were common. Certain employees were treated better based on race or personal relationships, leading to unfair scheduling, unequal opportunities, and a lack of support for those not in the favored group. The workplace often felt divided, with cliques, gossip, and petty drama making it difficult to maintain a positive and respectful atmosphere. This kind of environment not only made it hard to focus on patient care but also took a toll on morale and job satisfaction.
