Pros
The training and information you gain from working here is very good. If you are looking to be educated, get your insurance and financial licenses this is a door opener. On the corporate level the structure is very good but this location is poorly run and can not keep agents due to antiquated management, favoritism and inability to understand the changing field restrictions . Medicare is used to open doors and meet some great customers who can truly use your help. Most of the long time agents are educated and very nice as they can self support due to renewals and service fees and will try to help new agents learn but most do not last more then 6 months .
Cons
If you like cold calling and using an outdated script, door knocking to sell policies this is the place for you. They do educate you to help people but essentially it is all about sales,. The company model is old. There needs to be a salary to help agents grow their business at the beginning, learn the business and become knowledgable. The newer agents are encouraged to go on appointments alone before they really know what they are doing. Also, the good leads are sporadic in this office because the management will not invest in what is needed to have the newer agents succeed.
