I have worked for Bright Horizons for almost a year, and I am so thankful to be apart of a community that values people first. The children, families, and teachers go above profit. They work with teachers to build goals and professional development, and strive to create partnerships with the families. I know the management puts the employees best interest in the forefront of what they do.
Cons
The only cons are that we need more teachers. When we don't have fully staffed sites, sometimes plan time gets taken away and that can lead to teacher burn out.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback as a Bright Horizons employee; we definitely think that this is a great place to work and are so glad to hear you think so too! Absolutely you are in a special place, with daily opportunities to enjoy a collaborative and caring work environment based on our HEART principles. And when those challenging moments occur (you never quite know when they will strike in the ECE world!), it is so important to have the support and understanding of those you work with. Thank you for your contributions towards making Bright Horizons such a wonderful place for our children and families.
Do hire a diverse population of teachers in terms of age, gender ethnicity and orientation.
Children as always are there if you're doing this job you love kids
Cons
Most sites do not offer a set consistent schedule, using rotating shifts. The lack of staffing and support will force staff to also never be able to plan things such as break time. Rigid with sticking only to curriculum from Company book even on days when severely understaffed. Even if you are hired specifically for a particular classroom where you are most familiar and best skilled to work, they will often push you into things such as infant or toddler even if you have physical limitations such as back, bending or carpal tunnel. Very inflexible about your PTO if it doesn't fit in
